Does red wine protect your teeth?
Does red wine protect your teeth? Yep it does! Researchers of the American Chemical Society in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry have published the beneficial effects of wine thanks to the antioxidant properties of polyphenols.

Polyphenols protect us from free radicals and act against bacteria that causes plaque and cavities. In particular, two red wine polyphenols (caffeic acid and p-coumaric acid) actually have the ability to reduce pathogenic bacteria. Two polyphenols which, combined with Streptococcus dentisani, even fight mouth infections.

An apple a day may keep the doctor away but add wine to that daily list and keep the dentist at bay too! You will come out with a winning smile!

Now it's time to choose the red wine! Here are a few options: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG
